Learning Circle For ChildrenAssisting families of children with disabilities to overcome emotional and structural disparities.
About us
The Learning Circle For Children is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt nonprofit service agency, focused on educating families and children who have special-need challenges, especially ADHD. Our interest is to educate and inform how best to live with and overcome challenges.
Learn By Doing
Founded, January 30, 2009, LCFC seeks to use events such as Black History Month, lectures, and fun events to inspire interest and learning.
LCFC partners with the local, John J Byrne Community Center to provide books and informational resources at the community center to draw attention to inter-ethnic, inter-cultural, and multi-racial history. An invaluable resource of the library is about Black inventors.
LCFC also partners with the community center to provide available resources of a civic nature, such as awareness of past and current political community leaders, and what they have done or are currently doing to benefit the community.
Mission
LCFC’s Mission & Vision
Our mission is to assist families with children of special needs to obtain the services and programs necessary to prevent their marginalization in our communities.
A word
From Our Founder
I founded The Learning Circle For Children as a result of having a family member diagnosed with ADHD. It concerned me that there was so little information and resources available to that population.
That has inspired me to do all I can to educate others of the rights and privileges available to them to improve their lives and overcome challenges.
